Elementary kids are on the 4th week of "CATCH" where they are learning about connecting, accepting, and encouraging others who may not know God. Mrs. Sharon has had all the kids "fishing" up a storm back in the Bucaneer/Captain room. More fun and games in store this week.
Preschoolers are learning how special God made them in "Picture Purpose"--this week: they will make their own sack lunch of fishes and loaves and learn how powerful it is to share what we have with others. Maria B. and McKenna H. together with Brianna R. and Andrea R. are amazing with this age-group.
Nursery has a tv/dvd now (thank you Carrie!) so they can show the older children some L'il K songs and stories while mom & dad worship in the big room. Joshua V. and Sabrena B. have been huge help with our Cannon Balls--than you, Vrana and Beitzel families for supporting this vital ministry with your awesome kids!
Gratitude, thankfulness, and respect for one another, our families, teachers, and leaders are on display all this month and into the Christmas season. Mrs. Becky has some special fun planned for our elementary kids starting November 29th---parents and families will definitely enjoy something wonderful in December as we include our kids in one main service for Christmas.
We are dreaming of more than white Christmases in Treasure Island....
We are dreaming of a team of people whose love for God spills over and compels them to love our kids each week. As we look forward to and plan for 2010, look with your eyes and your heart at your commitments and those whom you would enjoy serving with in Treasure Island. Invite 4 "someones" to come hang out with you one Sunday...as people continue to grow at Solid Ground, 1 in 4 invited will probably end up serving side-by-side with us in 2010.
You are doing amazing things in the hearts, minds, and souls of each child we greet, meet, and teach. It's time to dream our team to the next level.....
